Q CELLS’ RIGOROUS QUALITY
MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Hanwha Q CELLS’ uncompromising quality and reliability is maintained and validated by a number of rigorous tests. We run our own VDE-certified testing laboratory at the largest technology and module test center in the industry. Our testing program consists of four testing levels:
LEVEL 1 INITIAL REGISTRATION TESTS
By participating in global certification testing (IEC, UL, MCS, JPEC, and KEMCO) we guarantee the electrical and constructional safety of our solar modules in accordance with international standards.
LEVEL 2 Q CELLS YIELD SECURITY
Our internal Yield Security program for all products combines the guaranteed resistance to resistance to Light Induced Degradation (LID) and Potential Induced Degradation (PID) with protection against Hot Spots (HSP) and product forgery (TraQ).
LEVEL 3 VDE QUALITY TESTED PROGRAM
The VDE Quality Tested Program considerably supplements the initial registration tests. It is run repeatedly on a quarterly basis to ensure consistent quality and strong product security.
LEVEL 4 INTERNAL QUALITY PROGRAM
Our own quality test, called Q.TEST, is 2 to 3 times stricter than the global testing standard. We constantly check our products daily to make sure they meet or exceed our highest safety requirements and that they are all free of defects.

Our testing ensures outstanding durability and world-class performance even in the harshest conditions: strong wind, heavy snow loads, salt stress, aridity, high temperatures, or humidity. Accordingly, DNV GL’s 2017 PV Module Reliability Scorecard confirmed that Hanwha Q CELLS modules achieved a “Top Performer”; thus we not only offer best-in-class solar modules, but also warranties against annual degradation that are unparalleled in the market.

These excellent results are further enhanced by all the modules from Hanwha Q CELLS for the 2017 DNV GL Module Reliability Scorecard being sampled at random by third party auditors from running mass production as part of DNV GL’s Product Qualification Program (PQP). DNV GL is the world's largest classification society and provides independent advisory, analysis, engineering, testing, certification, monitoring, control, and asset management services for several industries including maritime, renewable energy, oil & gas, electrification, food & beverage and healthcare. The company works with investors, project developers, system owners, utilities, and equipment manufacturers to help manage risk throughout the entire project life cycle and to ensure the performance and safety of systems from residential rooftops to multi-megawatt power plants.
  • Intersolar Award 2017 goes to the Reinforced Steel Frame module, Q.PEAK RSF L-G4.2 The Q.PEAK RSF L-G4.2 convinced Intersolar Award jury with its reinforced steel-frame concept and many additional innovations such as a decentralized junction box and an easy mounting system. Q.ANTUM Technology and the reinforced steel frame design combine numerous advantages for higher yields and system performance as well as lower installation cost and lower LCOE. The jury picked Hanwha Q CELLS´ Q.PEAK RSF L-G4.2 solar module as the most innovative out of ten shortlisted entries and out of 51 applications in total. The improvements in terms of performance, installation cost and LCOE are such that this technology is likely to be setting the next industry standard regarding solar modules for utility scale applications.

  • "TOP BRAND PV MODULES EUROPE 2017" FOR Hanwha Q CELLS In 2017 Hanwha Q CELLS obtained the "Top Brand PV" Seal (modules) of EuPD Research (Hoehner Research & Consulting Group) for the markets in Europe (Germany, France, Italy and Great Britain), and Australia.

    EuPD Research regularly evaluates the brand management of module and inverter manufacturers in Germany, France, Italy and Great Britain and other countries. They analyze, how companies positively differentiate their products and services as well as the own company from other options in the market and thereby further develop and manage the brand. For the release of the "Top Brand PV" Seal EuPD Research consult installers on brand awareness, brand evaluation, customers' selection and buying decisions as well as sales.
  • Q.PEAK DUO-G5 wins SOLAR + POWER AWARD 2017! Our new Q.PEAK DUO-G5 with Q.ANTUM DUO half cell technology won the Solar + Power Award 2017 for Excellence - Innovation. This award is presented by Solar + Power Management magazine each year and covers the entire value chain of photovoltaics. The jury is the industry itself. More than 4,800 experts from the solar industry selected their favorites in an online poll. Q CELLS had already won the award in 2015 and has now scooped up another award with the Q.PEAK DUO-G5. The organizers put particular emphasis on the fact that ‘Q.ANTUM Technology is continuing to improve conventional PERC processes and controls degradation effects, such as LID and LeTID, in order to achieve even greater efficiency and quality.
  • Q CELLS BAGS SOLAR POWER PORTAL AWARD 2017! Our Q.PEAK RSF L-G4.2 steel frame module won the Solar Power Portal Award for the best product innovation this year. Solar Power Portal is the online platform for the UK solar market. It is operated by Solar Media, which is also internationally known for the pv-tech.org website and the Photovoltaics International magazine. The Solar Power Portal Awards were presented on October 4th, 2017 in 13 categories.
  • "SOLAR INDUSTRY AWARD 2015" The Solar Industry Awards were created in 2008 to recognize products or services that develop innovative manufacturing and technology. The polycrystalline solar module Q.PLUS-G4 with power classes up to 280 Wp has been ranked as the No 1 module manufacturing innovation by the around 70.000 voters who participated in the two-month online voting process which is open to representatives of the entire industry. Winning module has been nominated by the award's panel in order to credit Q CELLS´ Q.ANTUM TECHNOLOGY. The "Solar Industry Award" is being awarded in 13 categories.
PHOTON MODULE YIELD MEASUREMENT 2014: Q.PRO IS THE BEST POLYCRYSTALLINE SOLAR MODULE
The Q.PRO solar modules outperform their competition and come out as the No. 1 poly-crystalline module in the 2014 PHOTON module yield measurement test. The Q.PRO-G2 235 Wp modules have been the top-performing poly-crystalline modules of 147 different PV modules from 107 manufacturers.

RESULTS FOR DYNAMIC TEST WIND REGION C
Our modules were tested with increasing pressure to a maximum of 7 kPa and subjected to a total of 10360 cycles to simulate a cyclone as best as possible. Accordingly, our modules survived pressure that is equivalent to a 1 in 500 year cyclone in wind region C.
